brownie time

I love baking! Said me, never…    oh, wait great idea!!!!

5 hours later.

So that statement reminded me of those Most Interesting Man in the World memes – and I thought to myself “ohhhhh, you should make one about Baking!”

Like, “I don’t always Bake — But when I do I make a huge fucking mess to remind myself not to do it again anytime soon.”

Stupid, I know, seriously, I KNOW. But what’s worse is the amount of time I just lost of my life reading other peoples hysterical memes. Ugh so funny! How? They are the same over and over and over — and yet STILL FUNNY. Every time.

Ok, so I got some new toys at home I’ve been playing with and decided to make a home movie of the girls baking. It’s long and boring and resulted in me learning (after the fact) that I should not be distributing my baking to any one else, ever due to the unsanitary practices of my children. But the good news is I am learning how to use my software editing program and my various cameras.

so anyway here goes.

that’s a wrap

Just wrapped the two days of Oakley’s first commercial. It’s going to be so cool! She’s already turned diva, asking why there were no pocket warmers in her coat pockets while we walked across the mall parking lot. Seriously!

She walked in and immediately won everyone’s hearts. Her happy, bubbly personality is infectious.

She has the guys helping her climb the rock wall the minute we walked in the door.

She was SO EXCITED to see wardrobe.

Lots of hurry up and wait between sets. We brought lots of entertainment for Oakley to do while waiting around; preschool workbooks, coloring books, my little ponies and we stopped at Walgreen’s and got one of those crazy cute stuffed animals with the ultra huge eyeballs. That pink owl is still a favorite in our house right now.

Super cute cowgirl boots we both loved as soon as we saw them! She sings “These boots are made for walkin’…” everytime she wears them now. I saw the same boots at Target and had to buy them for Oakley to add to her personal wardrobe collection.

These cupcake pajama’s were Oakley’s favorite.

And some much needed R&R after a busy 2 days! She was a rockstar!!!! Look for her YMCA commercial starting New Year’s Day.

its tuesday

camping-la-bella-vista

Yay for Tuesday. So close to Friday, yet so far. This is a nice big holiday weekend coming up and we are going camping. I love camping, the girls love camping, and even C loves camping. We have a big group going too so there is sure to be endless entertainment of the cheap and disturbing kind. I feel so close to nature sleeping out in the woods and sitting next to a campfire for umpteen hours drinking beer. While our version of camping is probably slightly different than most because it involves a travel trailer complete with a flat screen tv, full shower, toilet, microwave, heating and A/C we do park it at a campground so it is technically called “camping”. We originally invested in a small Wolf Pack toy hauler which is a travel trailer you tow behind a truck. A toy hauler is where the backdoor comes down like a ramp and men can drive their “toys” up in it. We’ve carried small boats and golf carts but often people carry motorcycles and ATVs. Our Wolf Pack was such a delight we upgraded to a Fifth Wheel toy hauler. One of those big suckers that have to hook into the bed of the truck. That was the worst mistake ever. It was an amazing condo like trailer that could sleep like 27 people and got us about 9 miles to the gallon. That hurt driving up and down the coast to the beach. This year we did an even swap with that fifth wheel and got something midgrade in size. It is awesome. I can’t wait to enjoy copious amounts of adult beverages and too many s’mores. My agenda includes parking my butt in a lawn chair and watching my kids play with sticks and rocks for three days straight.
