It’s so easy to just fall into a routine and then before you know it your kids are grown, and you are standing around wondering what in the world just happened. So, carve out family time, work it into your normal schedule so you do it, and then it’s the whole two birds with one stone thing, you’re cooking anyway so why not make that the fun quality family time everyone wants!? I’m by no means some fantastical culinary example, but I know what my kids like to eat and usually its Krusteaz Buttermilk pancakes in the morning, I even sometimes cheat and throw them on the waffle iron so there is less than any chance I ruin breakfast by over browning a pancake, but today I was feeling inspired by my inner maker and wanting a little quality kid time so I enrolled the help of our family toddler and we had so much fun the other two older girls couldn’t resist us.
Here’s the recipe we used so you can enjoy a little family fun time!
Ingredients
2 1/2 cups Krusteaz Buttermilk Pancake Mix
2 eggs
1/3 cup sugar
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup oil
Toppings of choice: we used blueberries
INSTRUCTIONS
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
Pre spray the muffin pan, we used a mini pan, but you could use a standard size as well.
Mix Krusteaz Buttermilk Pancake Mix, eggs, sugar, milk and oil.
Spoon the batter into the muffin tray.
We used blueberries as a topping and dropped 2-3 blueberries in each muffin, but you can use any toppings that your family likes.
Bake at 400 degrees for approximately 10-12 minutes. Let cool and enjoy!!!
